When & Where It All Began
Chef Billy Lee is a Chef, Restaurateur and the owner of Carlo’s Pizza in Holbrook, NY. Chef Billy have had a fascination with cooking ever since childhood, growing up around some incredible Italian cooks. Chef Billy’s first job was as a short order cook in Bickford’s Family Restaurant. From there Chef Billy developed a fascination for the Pizza business after watching and working for Uncle Charlie. Chef Billy worked hard day after day, saving for years to become part of the American dream. In 1980 Chef Billy’s dream became a reality with grand opening of Carlo’s Pizza Oven in Port Jefferson, NY, which became very successful.
As time passed Chef Billy’s passion continued to grow and he opened Carlo’s Pizza Oven in Riverhead, NY. In 1989 Chef Billy became aware of a shopping center opening in Holbrook, NY and knew without a doubt that he had to open a Carlo’s Pizza Oven in Holbrook, NY.
In 1990 Chef Billy realized his ultimate dream with the opening of Carlo’s Pizza Oven in Holbrook, NY and has come a long way in the evolution of that first store in Port Jefferson, NY in 1980. Carlo’s Pizza Oven now has over one hundred and fifty delicious, homemade Italian food, Beer, Wine & Cocktail choices on our menu…happily satisfying customers hungry appetites for over 40 years!
